A Contact Improvisation Jam is an open space for free movement and shared dance exploration. Contact Improvisation is an improvised dance form that originated in the United States in 1972. It focuses on the physical dialogue between bodies, including weight-sharing, using the center as a source of movement, and cultivating body awareness.
Jams are typically self-guided and practiced without a facilitator, though from time to time guest teachers may offer and lead a short pre-jam.
